Make sure that you have permission to use a photo of someone, especially students under 18. In regards to Texas 4-H members, they have already signed an agreed photo permissions in their membership packet. If you are hosting an event with other students in attendance, be sure to get permissions to use their photo in your marketing materials.
If you take a photo of a large group where individuals aren’t specifically identifiable, you don’t need photo permissions. But if you want to err on the side of caution, have copies of your photo release form on hand.

Pay attention to the copyright
When you are looking for photos to use in marketing materials such as on your website or Facebook, look for the copyright and copyright rules. Even for digital, you must have permission to use photos. AgriLife photos are free to use. You can also purchase photos from www.istockphoto.com or www.freeimages.com (this site has photos for purchase and some for free).
