HOW TO START
AgriLife Digital Education works with clients on products and services throughout the year.
For educational product development, there are critical processes occurring at scheduled stages throughout the year. These include:
- Submission windows
- Requirements gathering
- Scheduling
- Capacity assessments
Please follow the process outlined below.
For Canvas-related services, please email: ade@ag.tamu.edu

Step 1: Product Idea and Content Development
Product Idea
When you have an idea for a collaboration with AgriLife Digital Education, discuss it with your unit’s leadership and ensure the product aligns with their educational and business-driven goals.
Content Development
Begin compiling content for your product. The AgriLife Digital Education team will begin working on products with complete content first. View the videos below to learn more about our content readiness standards:
Step 2: Submit a Product or Service Request
If you have completed all the parts of Step 1, you are now ready to submit a product or service request.
Submission does not guarantee receipt of AgriLife Digital Education products or services. Requests will be evaluated and approved during the Capacity Assessment (see Step 3).
Be sure to note time-sensitive requests in the form. Digital Education may reach out to your leadership to alter existing project timelines from your unit in order to accommodate an expedited request.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT WINDOW | SUBMISSION DEADLINE |
---|---|
October – December 2021 | September 3, 2021 |
January – March 2022 | November 12, 2021 |

Step 3: Capacity Assessment
Unit leaders and AgriLife Digital Education meet quarterly to assess development capacity and review your submitted ideas. This assessment occurs in March, June, September, and December. Ideas not approved for the upcoming development window will be reevaluated at the next capacity assessment.
Step 4: Strategic Planning and Product Development Initiation
If your product is approved to move forward during the capacity assessment, an educational product specialist from AgriLife Digital Education will reach out to you to begin product development.
